Cleaning the Elantra
Wash and dry the car, then wipe each bonding area with a wax-and-grease remover and isopropyl alcohol shortly before that piece goes on. Clean the pillars as well, since the pillar kit goes on in the same session.
Fitting the three groups
Work door by door: upper trim first, then the pillar pieces from the separate kit, then the sill. Each piece gets a dry fit with its liner on and painter's tape at both ends. Open and close the door to confirm nothing catches. When it's right, peel back a short length of liner, place the end, and press along as you peel.
After the job
Let the tape cure for a day before washing. Use mild soap and a soft cloth from then on. If the upper trim and the pillar kit don't meet as the photos show, stop and call 877-752-3811 before bonding more.
