Layout

Prep
Clean old adhesive, wax and flaking paint from the frame tops and pillars. Wash and dry the sedan. Right before each piece, wipe its strip with a wax-and-grease remover and then isopropyl alcohol.
Fitting
Fit the upper piece on each door first, then the pillar pieces against it. Each gets a dry fit with its liner on and painter's tape at both ends, plus a gentle door close to check that nothing rubs. Then peel back an inch of liner, press that end onto its mark and work along the piece. Look along the side of the car after each door.
