The Titan's gas door piece fits over the fuel door as it stands, without drilling. QAA says the tape holds for a lifetime and won't harm the truck's surface.
Check the door and paint
Open and close the fuel door to make sure it moves freely and closes flush. On a truck that may have spent years outdoors, look at the paint on the door face closely. Chips, fading, or peeling clear coat should be repaired before installing, since the tape grips that paint directly.
Installing
Wash the door face, rinse, and wipe with degreaser. When it's dry, set the trim on the closed door with the liner on and adjust until the margin is even. Mark the spot with painter's tape on the body. Peel the liner, place the trim, and press firmly across all of it. Press again a minute later. Open the door to check clearance.
