Hold the trim on the closed door with its liner still attached and move it until a consistent strip of paint shows around the edge. Mark the position with painter's tape on the body. Peel away the liner, set the trim to the marks without sliding it, and press firmly over the whole face. A second firm press after a minute helps the tape seat.
