Construction
QAA forms each of the eight 8.5" Maxima pieces in the USA from polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, and each fixes over the existing surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. According to QAA, that tape will hold for a lifetime without harming the Nissan.
Paint under a tall piece
8.5" of height means a broad band of paint under the tape. Wash and rinse it, work a wax-and-grease remover over all of it, touch in chips or rust, and finish with an isopropyl alcohol wipe right before fitting.
The molding as top edge
Each piece meets the molding along its top. If any section is lifting, cracked or missing, repair it first; the Upper Kits start at the molding too, so it needs to be sound whichever kit you choose.
Sorting
The record doesn't list positions for the eight pieces. Lay them on a soft towel, compare with the photos, and label each liner.
Trial fit
- Hold every piece up with painter's tape.
- Make sure each top sits on the molding and each bottom on the door edge.
- Swing open all four Maxima doors.
- Sight down the car from front and back.
Bonding
Peel a section of liner, press across the full height, and continue. Go back over the piece with firm pressure.
After the front pieces
Copy the Maxima's first-side spacing onto the second.
Conditions
Shade, mild temperature and dry air; then no wash for a day.
One door first
Complete a single door and step back to check it before going on. Keep the box until the job is done.

Hold a tape at 8.5" below the molding on one door to picture the finished height. A reading well off that figure is worth a call first.
