Material
The ten 2008-2011 Focus upper trim and pillar pieces are USA-made polished 26 gauge 304 stainless, set over the existing surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. Per QAA, that tape will hold for a lifetime and won't mark the Ford sedan.
Sorting the box
Sort the pieces into upper and pillar groups, then by door. Take each door's pieces to the Focus, hold them in place beside the photos, and write each position on its liner. Count all ten as you go.
Preparing the car
Remove old adhesive, wax and loose paint from the frame tops and pillars. Wash the sedan and let it dry. As you reach each strip, wipe it with a wax-and-grease remover, then isopropyl alcohol, just before its piece goes on.
On each door
Put the upper piece on first so the pillar pieces have an edge to line up against. Test every piece with its liner on and painter's tape at the ends, and close the door gently to make sure it clears. Then peel a short section of liner, press that end down on its mark and continue along. Look down the side of the car after each door.
