Smart key handles have touch points used to lock or unlock. This kit is shaped to leave two of them reachable, so the feature keeps working after the covers go on. Compare your handles with the product photos to see which covers carry the openings.

The Sentra row is specifically the SR. Both rows also carry "SR" in the body style field, but the Altima row's model name has no trim, so the SR restriction reads most clearly for the Sentra. If your Sentra is a different trim, or you are unsure about your Altima, call us before ordering. The Fitment tab shows both rows exactly as QAA has them.
Material
Each cover is molded ABS plastic with polished chrome plating, imported. Molding lets the cover wrap the handle, including the openings for the smart key points.
Eight pieces
Two per door on a four-door sedan, covering the handle and the surrounding area. The catalog does not label each piece. Sort them by door with the photos, and set aside the two with smart key openings so they go on the handles that have smart key sensors.
Putting them on
QAA uses 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape on every cover. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Clean the handles with a degreaser and let them dry. Start with the smart key covers: dry-fit each one and check that the opening sits over the sensor. Then press each firmly for a few seconds. Repeat for the other covers, and test the smart key function when you are done. More in the Installation tab.
Why smart key access matters
A chrome cover that blocks the sensor would trade convenience for looks. With the access points built in, you keep both. That is the main reason to choose this kit if your Altima or Sentra SR has smart key handles.
A shared kit
One part number covers both the Altima and the Sentra SR across the same six model years, so the photos and steps apply to either car. A household with one of each can give both matching chrome handles.
