Cadillac CTS Sedan 2003-2007 Stainless Fuel Door Overlay (GC43250)
GC43250 brings a polished stainless face to the fuel door of the 2003-2007 Cadillac CTS 4-door sedan, the one vehicle on its Fitment tab. It's a single piece of 304 stainless steel, 26 gauge, made in the USA, and it mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so the work is limited to cleaning, positioning and pressing.

Whatever follows, the gas door piece is the quickest job. It's flat, single and has no partner piece to line up, so it's an easy way to see the polished finish on the car before taking on an eight-piece kit.
How it stays on
It installs directly over the existing surface, with no drilling. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Because the tape bonds to paint, look over the door before you begin: clear coat that's flaking or hazy, edge chips and bubbles should all be repaired first, and the door should close flush.
Doing the job
Clean the door with soap and water, then dry it and wipe on degreaser until the cloth comes away clean. Test the position with the liner still on, adjusting until the band of paint around the trim is even on every side, and mark the spot with painter's tape. Then peel the liner, set the trim against the marks, and press hard over its full face. Press again a minute later and open the door slowly to make sure it clears. The Installation tab has more.
Finish and care
Polished 304 stainless gives a bright, mirror-like look, and the 26 gauge sheet stays slim on the door. Install on a mild, dry day and let the tape set overnight before rain or washing. After that, use mild soap and a soft cloth, and wipe away any fuel drips.
