A narrow strip

Construction
The D21 Hardbody King Cab takes ten 3" strips cut in the USA from polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, rising from the door bottom on 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape over the existing surface. According to QAA, the tape will hold for a lifetime with no harm to the Nissan pickup.
Preparing the bottom edge
A 3" strip bonds close to the door bottom, where dirt and old wax collect. Clean that band carefully:
- Wash and rinse
- Strip wax and polish from the Hardbody with a wax-and-grease remover
- Fix chips, rust or lifting paint
- Give the D21 rocker an isopropyl alcohol wipe just before fitting
Dry fit
Tape each piece in place with its bottom edge on the door bottom. With a narrow strip, a small tilt shows, so sight along the side from the front and rear.
Bonding
Peel the liner a little at a time, press firmly, then go over the whole piece again.
Ten pieces
Match each piece to the photos and label the liners before you begin. The record doesn't list positions.
Conditions
Mild and dry, out of direct sun, and no washing for a day afterward.
Why choose a narrow kit
A 3" strip covers only the very bottom of the doors, so it leaves the panel above it as it is. If you would rather cover more, the 4.75" and 6.625" Lower Kits or the Full Kit go higher. Mark each height on the door with masking tape and step back to compare before you order.
Remaining D21 pieces
Measure the gaps between finished pieces and keep the rest the same, so the line runs evenly along the truck. Keep the box and liners until the job is done, and call us with any question about placement.
