These covers are cosmetic. Each slim polished panel sits on top of a post between the side windows, with no effect on the doors, glass or seals. The 304 alloy resists corrosion without plating, so there's no coating to flake, and car soap keeps it bright.
They go on with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, directly over the existing surface. There's no drilling. The Installation tab has the temperature range and cure time.
Check the posts first, because the tape grips whatever finish they have. Fix chalky patches, cracks, lifting edges or wax, then wash, dry and wipe with rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cloth.
Lay the four covers out, compare them with the photos and call if anything's wrong. Hold each in place with the backing on, outline it in painter's tape, then peel and press it firmly into the outline along its whole length and edges. Do the next one and compare. Work on a dry, mild day out of direct sun, with car soap, a bucket, rubbing alcohol, lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil to hand. A helper standing a few steps back is useful for judging whether the covers sit at the same height. Once the tape has cured, the covers need nothing more than washing with the rest of the Accent.
