Product Description
Chevrolet Volt 2011-2015 Pillar Post Trim, Four Covers (PP53130)
PP53130 is the four-cover pillar post set for the Chevrolet Volt, priced at $56.99. The covers are polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel and made in the USA. The fitment record lists one row, Chevrolet Volt 2011-2015, tagged 4-door, Hatchback, which covers five model years of the Volt.
The Volt has a wide spread of pillar sets in this record. Besides this one there are four larger sets on the same row: PP53131 with six covers, PP53132 with eight, PP53133 with ten and PP53134 with twelve. None carries a note, and none names its posts or lists widths, so the record alone can't tell you which posts each count reaches. The galleries are the way to see it. Put the five side by side, then stand next to your Volt and count the posts you'd like dressed before deciding.
No other trim is linked to this record. Check the year; a Volt outside 2011 to 2015 isn't on this row. If you'd like help choosing among the five sets, phone Quality Automotive Trims on 877-752-3811 and quote PP53130.
Fitting the four is a cosmetic change only. They sit over the posts beside the side glass, and the doors, windows and weatherstrip keep working just as before. The 304 alloy resists corrosion on its own, so nothing is plated.
No drill comes anywhere near the Volt for this job. The four covers are held by 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape alone, pressed onto the paint or trim that each post wears today, and no part of the car's trim has to be lifted or unclipped first. Before you set aside a day, read the Installation tab: it gives the temperatures the tape should go on in, and how long to leave it curing before the car is washed.
Begin with the four posts. Have low-tack painter's tape, a pencil, rubbing alcohol, a bucket of car-soap water and a few lint-free cloths at hand. Remove wax and polish, and repair any paint that's chalky, crazed or flaking, because the tape bonds to that coat. Wash, rinse and dry, then wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth, refolding until nothing comes off, and feel along each one for dents.
Choose a dry, still day and a shady spot. Unpack the four on a clean towel, check each against its photo and tell us straight away if anything arrived damaged. Work out which post each cover belongs to and put a numbered tab of painter's tape beside it. Holding the first cover with its liner still on, position it, nudge it until the gap around it looks even, and run tape round its outline. Then peel the liner, lower the cover into that outline and press it down firmly from one end to the other and along both edges. Look at it from a step back before you move on.
Any cover that won't sit flat stays with its liner on while you call 877-752-3811; don't force it. Once cured, wash with car soap and water and dry with a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 4 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
