Mounting. 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape holds each cover over the existing surface. No holes, and nothing taken off the Cadillac at any stage. See the Installation tab for the temperatures and cure period.
Prep. Pass one: wash the six posts in soapy water, rinse, dry. Pass two: clear any wax or polish and repair paint that's powdery, crazed or peeling, since the tape will hold no better than that coat. Pass three: degrease with rubbing alcohol on clean lint-free cloth until it comes away spotless. Then run a fingertip along each post for dents, and lay out painter's tape, a pencil and a towel.
Fitting. Work in the shade on a dry, still day. Compare the six with their photos and report any damage or missing pieces before you start. Dry-fit each with its liner on, nudge it until the margin is even and mask round it, pencilling a number on the mask. Then singly, peel the liner, set the cover in its mask and smooth it down hard along both edges and the full length. Lift the masks when all six are on, then step back and check every border on the hearse.
If one won't sit flat, leave its liner on, set it on the towel and ring 877-752-3811. Once the tape has cured, car soap, water and a soft towel are all the six need.
