Product Description
6-Piece Polished Pillar Post Trim, Chevrolet Equinox 2018-2024 (PP58161)
For Equinox owners who want more than a hint of polish, PP58161 covers the window pillars of the 4-door Chevrolet Equinox with six pieces of polished stainless steel. It is listed for model years 2018 through 2024 and is the larger of QAA's two Equinox pillar kits.
The difference from the four-piece kit
The other Equinox kit, PP58160, has four pieces. QAA's catalog gives no coverage note for either kit, so it does not identify which pillars the further pieces cover. The listing photos are the best guide. Six pieces generally creates a more complete frame along the side windows.
A clean frame for the glass
Pillars are the upright body sections between and beside the side windows. On the Equinox, polished covers set them apart from the glass. Polished steel outlines each window instead, and six pieces gives the side of the SUV a framed, finished appearance that is noticeable but not overdone.
Because the two Equinox kits are each complete sets, decide on coverage first. If you want the most polish QAA offers for these pillars, this six-piece kit is the one.
Solid stainless
All six covers are made in the USA from 26-gauge 304 stainless steel with a mirror polish. The brightness is the metal itself, so there is no coating to wear off, and the pieces match.
That consistency matters on a six-piece set, where the pieces sit close enough together that any mismatch in shine would be obvious.
How it attaches
The six Equinox pillar covers go on directly over the existing surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA says that tape will hold for a lifetime without harming the 2018-2024 SUV.
Organize first: lay the six Equinox pieces out as the photos show. Wash and dry the pillars and remove any wax. Dry-fit, then peel and press one piece at a time. Fit each in turn and compare it with the cover before it. The Installation tab details each step.
Matching Equinox trim
Because QAA makes so many pieces for this Equinox, a pillar kit is often the start of a larger project. Options for the same SUV include rear window trim, an upper rocker panel kit, a license bar accent above the plate, a window sill set for the face of the sills, a rear deck accent, a rear bumper accent, a license plate bezel, a gas door cover, and two wheel well trim kits. Window sill trim and pillar trim in particular work together to frame the glass from below and between.
Fitment
Listed for the Chevrolet Equinox 4-door SUV, 2018 through 2024, as shown on the Fitment tab.

Install on a mild day out of direct sun for the best tape bond, and press every edge firmly. A soft cloth afterward keeps the polish clear of fingerprints, and from then on the trim simply washes along with the rest of the Equinox.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
