The eight covers are cosmetic. They dress the posts and leave the doors, side glass and weatherstrip working as before. The 304 stainless resists corrosion by its own chemistry.
Each cover mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape set directly over the post's existing paint or trim. You won't drill, and nothing on the Cadillac has to come apart. The Installation tab lists the temperature range and cure time.
Eight posts make for a longer prep, so start early. Wash each with car-soap water, rinse and dry. Clean away wax and polish, and put right any paint that's chalking, crazing or lifting, since the tape bonds to that coat. Degrease with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloth until a fresh fold shows nothing, and feel each post for dents. Set out low-tack painter's tape, a pencil and a clean towel.
Fit on a dry, windless day in shade. Lay the eight beside their photos and tell us about any damage before you begin. Dry-fit each with its liner on, settle it until the border is even and mask its outline, numbering every mask. Then work through them singly: liner off, cover into its mask, firm pressure along the whole length and both edges. Remove the masking at the end and check each border from a step back.
