Product Description
Saturn Vue 2003-2007 Rear Liftgate Accent in Polished Stainless (RD43440)
RD43440 is a single polished strip for the back of the Saturn Vue 4-door SUV, model years 2003 through 2007. It is 304 stainless steel, made in the USA, and installs over the existing surface with 3M tape.
Five Vue years
2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, 4-door SUV. A Vue from a later year is not part of this listing, so confirm yours.
On the liftgate
QAA calls it a rear deck accent. The Vue is an SUV, so it goes on the liftgate. No width or length is listed; the photos show its size and placement.
Wheel wells without the gasket
WQ43440, the six-piece wheel well accent for this Vue, carries a specific note: it installs with 3M adhesive and has no black rubber gasket edging. That note applies to the wheel well accent, not to this liftgate strip, but it is useful if you are deciding what to buy next.
Rockers in three styles
- TH43441, a four-piece full kit tapering from 5.5 to 6.5 inches, on the doors only, from the bottom of the molding to the bottom of the door
- TH43442, a four-piece side molding insert kit, 1.75 inches
- ST43440, a four-piece door sill and rocker trim, 1.625 inches
Four pillar kits
PP43440 has four pieces, PP43441 six, PP43443 eight, and PP43442 ten. None has a coverage note.
Lettering
SGR43440 is an eight-piece "VUE" logo decal with emblem, set of two, and its listing also mentions a "HYBRID" logo decal. Call to confirm what is included.
Rear and side small parts
LP43440 is the license plate bezel. GC43440 is the gas door cover.
Material and mount
The Vue accent is 26-gauge 304 stainless with a mirror polish, mounted with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without damaging the SUV.
Preparing an older gate
The liftgate on a Vue from these years has seen plenty of use. Wash, dry, and wipe the strip's footprint with a residue-free cleaner. Repair chips or fading clearcoat first.
Placement
With the liner on, set the strip against the photos. Measure each end to the gate edges and mark with painter's tape. On a dry, mild day, peel and press from the middle outward. Then fit the bezel below if you bought it.
Care
Wait a few days before washing. Mild soap and a soft cloth. Dry the gate after a wash and keep scouring pads away from the polish.
Choosing a rocker
The three rocker pieces cover very different areas. The full kit is broad, tapering up to 6.5 inches across the doors. The insert kit is a 1.75-inch line in the side molding. The door sill and rocker trim is 1.625 inches. Look at each in the photos to see which suits the Vue's sides.
Why stainless
Check each linked Vue listing for its finish before buying it.
Before ordering
Confirm the year and check the photos against your gate.

Installation tips: Rear Deck Accent
- Unpack the piece and hold it in position to confirm the fit before mounting it.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Step back and check alignment before pressing along the full length of the piece.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
