Preparing the four sills
Raise all the windows and park in the shade. Clean the sills with a soft cloth and a mild shampoo solution, wipe them with clean water, then dry. Run a lamp along each sill to find any wax, polish residue or old adhesive. Clear adhesive with a plastic scraper and wipe the sills with wax-and-grease remover. Finish each sill with isopropyl alcohol just before its piece goes on.
Fitting
Pencil each door's position on the liners from the photos. Start at a front door: tape the piece on with its liner, check the ends, then peel the liner from the front, press, and carry on rearward. Move to the rear door behind it, then the remaining two, and finish by pressing firmly along every piece.
Keep the Highlander dry for a day. Mild soap and a soft cloth after that.
