Wash the door face, rinse, and wipe with degreaser so the tape bonds to clean paint rather than wax. Let it dry completely. Work on a mild day, not in cold or direct hot sun. After pressing, go over the whole face a second time and then leave the door alone for a day.
Care afterward
Mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Wipe off any fuel that spills onto the door at the pump.
