Product Description
Hyundai Elantra Sedan 2017-2020 Four-Piece Pillar Post Trim (PP17340)
PP17340 is a four-piece set of polished stainless pillar covers for the 2017-2020 Hyundai Elantra 4-door sedan. It's the smallest of three Elantra pillar sets for these years, and the sheet also lists a large window trim package that already includes pillar posts, which is worth knowing before you order.
Check the window package first
WP17340 is a sixteen-piece window trim package noted "Includes Upper Trim and Pillar Posts, NO Window Sills." Buying it alongside this set could give you pillar covers twice. Call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 before ordering both. WP17341 and WS17340 are also linked to this sheet, but only by number, so read their own listings for what they include.
Choosing among the pillar sets
The three pillar sets have four, six and eight pieces. The eight-piece PP17342 is noted "Includes Rear Triangle piece." This set and the six-piece PP17341 don't mention a triangle. Beyond that note, none of the listings says which pillars it covers. Compare the galleries side by side, look for outlines that appear in one and not the others, and order a single set. One of the Elantra sets is all you'd fit, so call 877-752-3811 before ordering a second. At $56.99 this one is the smallest job of the three.
Fitment
The row reads Hyundai Elantra, 2017 through 2020, tagged 4-door and Sedan. Four model years, one body style. PP17340 is cataloged against Elantras of 2017 to 2020. For anything outside that row, call 877-752-3811 with PP17340.
Material and mounting
Four covers in 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, polished and made in the USA. The finish is the polished steel, so there's no coating to flake. They attach with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape directly over the existing surface, with no drilling and nothing removed.
More Elantra trim on this sheet
- AT17340: a four-piece body side molding accent, width 1.375.
- TH17340: a two-piece rocker panel trim that installs below the door, on the rocker, width 1.25.
- WQ17340: an eight-piece wheel well accent trim, width 0.875.
- GC17340: a one-piece gas door cover trim.
Preparing the surface
Wash the pillar areas with mild car shampoo, rinse and dry fully. Wipe each with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth and allow it to evaporate. Remove any wax, polish or ceramic coating where tape will sit. Work on a dry day out of direct sun.
Fitting the four
Count four covers when the box arrives and hold each up to the photos. With the liners still on, set each one on its pillar, make sure both edges follow the post, and mark the spot with painter's tape. Peel a single liner, line the cover up with your marks, and press firmly along its length and both edges before moving on. The Installation tab lists the temperature range and cure time.
If a cover won't sit flat, or you're unsure where it goes, keep the liner on and call 877-752-3811. After the cure time, wash with regular car soap and a soft mitt, and dry with a clean towel to avoid water spots.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 4 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
