Hyundai Elantra 2017-2020 Window Sill Trim WS17340: Four 0.375" Stainless Strips
WS17340 is a four-piece Window Sill Trim Set for the 2017-2020 Hyundai Elantra 4-door sedan, in polished stainless steel 0.375" wide. The note says it covers the "Face of sills only".
Elantra sedan fitment
The sedan from 2017 to 2020 is the only body on the record. Elantra GT hatchback owners, and those with other years, should call 877-752-3811 first.
Construction and attachment
Made in the USA of polished, high-quality 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, the four strips mount over the existing surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. According to QAA, that tape holds for a lifetime and causes no damage to the vehicle's surface.
WS17340 and the window packages
Two Elantra packages are linked:
- WP17340, 16 pieces: upper trim and pillar posts, NO window sills. WS17340 brings the sills to this one.
- WP17341, 20 pieces: upper trim, window sills and pillar posts. Sills are included, so this set isn't needed with it.
Pillar sets alone are PP17340 (4), PP17341 (6) and PP17342 (8, including the rear triangle piece).

Prep for a 0.375" strip
The narrow strip means a narrow tape line, so the face must be spotless. Raise the windows. Clean with a damp, lightly soaped cloth, then wipe clean and leave to dry fully. Run a fingertip along the face: anything that catches is old adhesive or grit and needs to go. Use a plastic scraper for adhesive, wax-and-grease remover for films, and isopropyl alcohol last.
Fitting
If you're also fitting WP17340, ask 877-752-3811 which to do first. For the sills, start with a rear door. Tape the strip on, liner in place, check that it lines up evenly along the face, then peel and press from one end. Then the other rear door, then the fronts.
Afterwards
A day without washing. Mild soap and a soft cloth thereafter.
Which route suits you
For an Elantra that already has the WP17340 upper trim and pillar posts, WS17340 is the piece that finishes the windows. For a car with no trim yet, compare WP17341 (everything, 20 pieces) with WP17340 plus WS17340 (also upper trim, posts and sills, but in two boxes); the photos show both. If you only want the sills, WS17340 on its own does that. Call 877-752-3811 if the overlap between packages isn't clear.
When the parcel arrives
Count four strips, compare each with the photos, and keep them flat. To keep the narrow 0.375" pieces straight, lift them by the ends. Leave the liners on until each strip is in place on its sill and you have checked it there.
Fit them in shade, with the car on level ground.
Once all four are on, sight along the Elantra from a step back and press any end that isn't flat.
