Step by step
Wash the fuel door face, rinse, and wipe with degreaser. Let it dry fully. Close the door and hold the trim against it with the liner on. Adjust until the border is the same width all the way around, then mark one corner on the body with painter's tape. Peel the liner, line it up, and press firmly over the whole piece. It's a single flat panel, so there's nothing to line up with another piece. That makes it the easiest stainless accent to get right on the first try. It also gives you a preview of how the polished finish sits against your Rogue's paint before you commit to pillar trim or a molding kit.
